Project Overview

This project has been completed as a part of the Sustainability elective for the class Race to Net Zero. The project requirement goal is to design a house which is capable of producing its own energy from renewable/energy efficient sources and utilize it for the energy needs of the house.

 

Design Intent

The proposed house design shown in this book has been done for a Single family unit that consist of 4 people that will be residing in the house, out of which 2 are adults and 2 are kids.

 

The title ‘Net Zero Street Community’ describes the bigger version of the same single family unit which has 5 such units that come together on the site to form a street community which have their own energy production source and are capable of producing enough energy for their needs.
